Down to Earth: How Astrophotos Are Made
Steve Smith from SPARQ Observatory
Everyone has seen the beautiful photographs produced by the Hubble Space Telescope--but few know the challenges that must be overcome to create them. Join us as our own Steve Smith shows how the HST--and The SPARQ Observatory--create amazing color photos of galaxies and nebulae that lie beyond our home planet. Merging science and art, (STEAM!) astrophotography has given mankind a deeper and more profound understanding of the Universe around us.
For Piner High students, this event counts toward your STEM Level 1 Certificate.
